GTA Spoiler Instructions

GTA/TA/Formula Rear Spoiler Instructions
Item #GT-RS160

Directions must be followed to ensure proper fitment/installation.

1. Attach the original third brake light to the spoiler. This only applies to cars that were originally equipped with the third brake light.

 2. Peel the backing off the rubber round gaskets that were included in the installation package. Apply these gaskets to the bottom of the spoiler, over the bolt holes in the spoiler & the third brake light if your car was originally equipped.

 3. Attach the two clips (included in the installation package) to the ends of the spoiler with the small screws provided in installation package. Be sure to not re-use your original old clips. There are provisions towards the tips of the spoiler where the clips are to be attached. See picture below.

Note: Only one clip per side is needed to attach spoiler, unlike the original which needed 3 on each side.

 4. With TWO people, one on each end of the spoiler, carefully walk the spoiler up the back of the hatch and slide clips around the glass trim. You will need to shimmy the spoiler up the trim until it is properly placed over your original bolt holes on the deck lid.

 5. Attach spoiler to the deck lid with bolts & washers provided in the installation package. DO NOT fully tighten down one side before moving to the next. We recommend alternating tightening the bolts to ensure spoiler is evenly seated.

Remember to ALWAYS test fit before you paint! DO NOT TRY TO LAY THE SPOILER ON THE HATCH AND ATTACH IT! STEP #4 IS VERY IMPORTANT!
Gaskets provided may leave a small gap under your spoiler. You can remove these and use a sealer around the bolt holes in your deck lid.
DO NOT USE SPOILER TO OPEN OR CLOSE YOUR DECK LID!!!
