Bought this shifter with the Black SS ball, the machining on the aluminum is absolutely beautiful. Great action on the shifter, easy to install, comes with Instructions, loctite, and all the hardware needed. I buy all my parts for my 99 SS from Hawks.

Easy install once you get the factory stuff out. Nice precise shifts and I love the lower height.

I have called this review a short throw shifter set as unlike some short shifters that I looked at this kit has everything you need from a well made shifter that will give more expensive ones a run for their money to the bronze cup to replace the factory plastic one to the choice of shift knobs. The instructions were straight forward and easy to follow, I did have to use wet n dry emery paper to make the bronze cup fit but it wasn’t a big deal. The included thread lock was also a nice surprise and worked well, I found the lever height ok and the shifts are tight and precise reverse takes a bit of effort but nothing to worry about.

This shifter is very well made. It removed all the slop I had in the OEM Hurst Shifter. The Bronze isolator cup is a nice upgrade over the plastic factory piece. I had to polish mine down a little to fit but this was no big deal. For me, the included shift lever was too low to the console so I switched back to my factory lever. Still the throw is reduced from what I had. The aluminum knob is nice just the right size for me. Installation was straight forward.
