85-92 Firebird Shift Indicator 6 speed conversion

This is a very cool thing to upgrade your console with BUT there are no instructions on how to remove the original 5 speed one without breaking your shift plate. It looks like it comes off from underneath, but it doesn't just pop out because the light housing is there. Thats where I get nervous to push on the parts to try to get them off. If anyone has advice, hit me up! I thought I might unscrew the shift boot bezel and look to see if the light housing (white square box) comes loose. If I break the shift plate, I cant get a new one for a long time since they're on back order, plus mine is factory.

Clear part is a touch cloudy, overall a great piece and adds final touch to my 6spd conversion. Looks great lit up

I am very pleased with the shift indicator; it's literally the only thing that would tip someone off about what the car is packing under the trans hump. Keeps the stock look and mounting.
