Hawks Motorsports offers our clients new replacement interior door lock rod bell crank bushings for your 1967-1969 and 1970-1981 Camaro and Firebird models. 2 are required per door. Sold individually. Total of 4 required for both doors and 2 required per door.
Why replace these?
When your pull lock rod which comes out of the interior door panel becomes floppy or does not lock or unlock the side doors on both power lock and manual lock cars this bushing is probably the issue. These dry rot and decay and fall off the lock rod which then does not allow the lock rod to slide up and down as it should. At this point you can not lock and unlock the side doors with the pull knob as it should.
How hard is it?
Replacing these are a snap at home. Skill level is a 4 simply due to the fact you must remove the door panel. Once removed these simply slide onto the horizontal lock rod and then tap into the slip grooves on the inner door frame!
