Tired of looking in your car and looking at damaged chalky or worse missing lower side trim panels? We feel your pain! After 50 years these plastic panels deteriorate and simply need replaced. This is an easy task to do at home in just an hour. This unit reproduced by OER is correct for 1970 1971 1972 Camaro and Firebird Trans Am models. With correct mounting points and proper grain texture these units come molded in black and really bring your interior back to life! Thi is a replica panel for the deluxe interior option.
WHY REPLACE THESE PANELS? After 50 years factory units fall parts and become chalky. They will crumble as you remove them. Replacing them is easy! Make your early second generation f-body look like new again in an hour or two at home.
HOW HARD IS IT TO REPLACE? Replacement of the lower deluxe rear armrest panels is cake work. You will loosen the side headliner trims, and the rear headliner trim. Then simply unscrew the sail panel mounting points from the car. Wiggle the old one past the side headliner and rear headliner trim and up and out it goes. You then will unscrew the 2 screws per unit that hold thes rear armrest panel in place and also remove the sill plate. Now the rear armrest panel can slide towards you and out of this securing point. Install is simple reverse the process!
