Hawks Motorsports offers our clients front and rear headliner tack strips metal for 1970 – 1974 Camaro Firebird / Trans Am.
For use on cars with bow style headliners and cars which have the metal side headliner trim plates. These new replacement tack strips are for the front and rear window area. The bow headliner material is tacked and glued to these which hold the material tight and in place front to back.
WHY REPLACE THESE tack strips? 50 years have gone by and these front and rear headliner metal trims are prone to show their age, rust, rot damage and decay will prevent these from holding the material securely in place and in tur the headliner droops and looks well like crud! We have these new and it is a great way to update your cars original appearance.
HOW HARD IS IT TO REPLACE? Replacement of the upper tack strips should be done when replacing your bow headliner. That task is a 7 in skill level as these is much involved in replacing the bow headliner over all.
