Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this set of 1970 - 1981 second generation Camaro L/R cowl side vetical weatherseals.
This pair L/R cowl corner vertical seals ensures a snug, weather close out between the rear side of the front fenders and the door hingle and inner structure area via thevertical cowl extenion panels.
WHY REPLACE / INSTALL THESE WEATHER SEAL? When these seals are missing or damged water, air flow and dirt while driving and nd can enter the area of the door hinge and front face of the door lead on the inner surfaces (behind the door skin) Due to the nature of the beast if the door seals.or power window boots are not like new or damaged you get wind water and grime into the inner door or sill plate of the cain creating havoc and wind noise over time.
HOW HARD IS IT TO REPLACE? Replacement of these seals are suggested during paint, heater core replacement, or any reason where you have either the door OR the front fender removed. These bolt to the cow lpanel vertical extension panel which is not accessable unless your have ne or the other removed (door or fender) You would not want to remove the fender or doors just to install these. Upon insall they can be screws into place just as GM did.
