If you have a factory AC car and you do not want to use the Air Conditioning, replace that obtrusive, often broken evaporator box with this neat Gen 2 Air Conditioning Evaporator Box Eliminator. For use with factory AC cars only as the firewall opening is vertical rather than horizontal. Holes are not pre-drilled in the box as no two cars are alike and hole placement on the factory firewall can vary up to 3/8". Using this will allow you use the heat and fan in your F-Body with a slick & clean look in your engine bay.
IMPORTANT NOTES ON THIS DELETE PLATE:
- This unit allows you to still run the factory GM Air Conditioning Fan without any modification to fan mounting area of delete box.
- You can drill in the fan motor heat bypass rubber tube into this unit.
- You are able to run the fan speed resistor by drilling the opening hole and 2 mounting screws.
- This will allow you to continue to run all factory A/C ductwork inside the car and A/C controls with out modifications.
- This unit allows you to create a lot of extra room in the engine bay while dropping nearly 25 lbs off the GM suitcase.
- You can then remove the compressor and AC lines cleaning the engine bay up even more.
