Hawks Motorsports offers our clients new replacement interior door lock rod bellrank assemblies for your 1970-1981 Camaro and Firebird models. 2 are required per car. Sold individually. 1 required per door.
Why replace these?
When your pull lock rod which comes out of the interior door panel becomes floppy or does not lock or unlock the side doors on both power lock and manual lock cars this may be the issue. This is a 2 part rod assembly which the door lock knob screws onto one end, it goes down does a 9 degree turn and then goes over to the lock rod retainer on the side door latch mechanism on the inner door structure.
How hard is it?
Replacing these are a snap at home. Skill level is a 4 simply due to the fact you must remove the door panel. Once removed this slides onto the door latch mechanism and then goes up and out of the top rail of the door frame. We also offer the replacement bushings if needed.
