Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this Metro Molded Parts produced second generation F-body L/R Inner fender lip to subframe A arm splash gaurds. Direct interchanges on 1970-1981 Camaro & 1970-1981 Firebird / Trans Am, while FM installed on higher optioned car these can be installed on all 70-81 F-body models.
This pair L/R of thick material mounts via industrial staples (included) prevents dirt and water from coming up through the A arm and spindle assembly openings off the inner fenders. This cuts down on the grime which gets everywhere inside the engine bay while driving.
WHY REPLACE THIS CLOSE OUT GASKET SET? When these seals are missing or damged water and dust / mud enter the engine bay. After time this simply makes a mess and adds hours to detailing of the engine compantment These replace the GM installed units on higher optioned cars. This can be added to any second generation F-body.
HOW HARD IS IT TO REPLACE? Replacement of these close outs are a hour or two install. Industrial staple hardware is included and with the proper tool takes no time. If you do not have the tool, you can drill and install the staples which would add 60-90 minutes. Doe not require the removal of the inner fenders for install.
