Hawks Motorsports brings you 1970 – 1981 Camaro Trans Am side window lower bump stops for use on your F-body Camaro Firebird Trans Am. These are sold individually 2 needed per car.
What these do is prevent the window from rolling all the way down into the door frame which can cause damage and scratches to the glass.
WHY REPLACE THIS WEATHER SEAL? When this seal is missing or damaged water can and will enter the cabin floor pan, or the door frame itself and cause damage to the carpet and door panels. Damaged seals create window noise, and loss of Heat and A/C efficiency.
HOW HARD IS IT TO REPLACE? Replacement of the lower door bumper stop is simple. With the door panel removed what you’ll find is mid door and at the bottom 1/3 of the door frame mounted to the inner door frame by a ½ inch bolt. It attaches to a L bracket (See Product Pictures) and can slide up and down on the elongated slider mount. Over a half a decade they dry rot on the nipple style mount and fall off of the L brace. Replacing these while your door panel is off takes under one minute! With durable construction resists wear and tear, providing long-lasting protection.
