1977 - 1981 Trans Am Shaker Scoop Weather Seal New Replacement
Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this correct appearance and fit, licensed by GM, this 1977 1978 1979 1980 1981 Trans Am Shaker Scoop to Hood Weather Seal mounts onto the hood scoop itself. When you close the hood this redirects water and debris to the corner n the scoop drains out via a nipple and hose down and away from your engine and engine bay.
WHY REPLACE THIS WEATHER SEAL? When this seal is missing your run the risk of water entering the air filter and worse the engine itself. If the water does not end up there it will make it’s way onto the top of your intake for sure, which is cool if you like rust…. Yeah time to change that!
HOW HARD IS IT TO REPLACE? Actually, this is a #2 on replacing the weather seal on your shaker scoop. First you remove your old one (If it is still there) then using the supplied template you will set the unit in place and using some 3 Super Weather seal Adhesive we offer, and glue the new one into place. Overall this is a 30 minute job at home
