Product Description:

This is new aftermarket reproduction 1" hood insulation for a 1982-92 Firebird flat hood. This one is for the 82-92 Firebird specific. It does come rolled up unlike the factory GM hood insulation which could not be rolled and has been discontinued. It will unroll to it's natural state. It is thicker than the factory original.

NOTE: PICTURE IS OF THE SIDE THAT WILL BE FACING THE HOOD, IT IS A MARBLE BLACK & GRAY. THE SIDE THAT WILL BE VISIBLE IS BLACK.

Fits 89 FIrebird TransAm GTA

Shape was a little different than the original, and the "skin" side goes away from the engine. All the holes for the plastic pins lined up properly. The front side was shaped so that it wouldn't go under the slots on the front of the hood, like the original did, but the fit was so snug that it isn't needed. Looks WAAAY better than the old insulation that was falling apart Would recommend.

The solid black side faces the hood. The visible side is pictured in the description and is the marble grey and black. Product was shipped folded, not rolled, although it had no major impact.
