Hawks Motorsports is proud to offer our clients this : 1978-1988 GM G-Body 0.600-Inch Front Sway-Bar Mount Relocation Spacer Kit from UMI Performance.

UMI Performance 3068 front sway-bar relocation spacers are designed for G-body owners experiencing interference between the front sway bar and the idler arm, steering linkage, or upgraded steering components.

The spacer plates reposition the front sway-bar frame-bushing mounts forward by 0.600 inch. This provides additional clearance for smooth, unrestricted sway-bar movement without requiring cutting, drilling, welding, or custom frame fabrication.

This kit is especially useful when installing a larger aftermarket front sway bar, upgrading steering components, or correcting an existing sway-bar binding problem on a Buick Regal, Grand National, GNX, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Malibu, El Camino, Oldsmobile Cutlass, Pontiac Grand Prix, Bonneville, or GMC Caballero.

Each relocation plate is CNC laser-cut from heavy-duty 0.375-inch-thick mild steel. Elongated mounting slots accommodate minor variations in the factory frame mounting locations, while the black protective finish provides a clean appearance and corrosion resistance.

The two included relocation plates service both front sway-bar frame-bushing locations. Installation is completed at the original frame mounting points and typically takes approximately 30–60 minutes using common hand tools.

UMI 3068 is intended specifically to increase clearance between the sway bar and the steering components. It does not provide additional tire, wheel, or inner-fender clearance.
