Fitment note: Intended for the rear lift-window hatch hinge location. Compare the existing hinge arrangement and mounting points before installation. Diagnose the cause of hatch misalignment before replacement; hinge replacement addresses worn or bent hinges, while other damage may also require attention.
- One pair of black anodized billet aluminum rear hatch hinges
- New stainless steel assembly hardware, bushings and pins, supplied assembled with the hinges
Optional bolt-set selection: Choose “Add Billet Bolt Set CBW-075B” to add the matching set of four black anodized 7075 billet aluminum hatch hinge bolts. The optional bolt comparison image illustrates that upgrade; package contents follow the selected option.
Bent factory hinges can allow the rear hatch to sit too far rearward and interfere with proper alignment. These replacement assemblies renew the hinge mounting and pivot components while retaining a black appearance at the rear hatch mounting location. Check hatch position, latch engagement and surrounding clearances after installation.
The hinge assemblies are manufactured from 7075 billet aluminum and anodized black. New bushings and pins are supplied as part of the assembled pair. This is a newly manufactured aftermarket upgrade for the verified application.
Read the complete illustrated guide before starting. It covers supporting and removing the lift-window assembly, reconnecting the gas supports and defogger wiring, and checking hatch alignment.

- Prop the hatch fully open and protect the painted edges of the rear compartment opening before beginning. Use a helper to support the glass during removal and installation.
- Follow the guide for removing the glass-to-hinge nuts. Keep the hatch fully open when working with the gas support attachments.
- With a helper supporting the glass, disconnect the gas supports and the rear defogger harness, if equipped. Lift the window assembly onto a protected surface.
- Install and position the hinge assemblies following the guide. Do not overtighten the glass-to-hinge bolts: excess pressure can shatter the rear glass. The product page cautions hand-tight only. Confirm the correct tightening procedure for each mounting point before applying torque. Wear safety glasses.
- Reconnect the defogger harness, if equipped, and gas supports. Lower the hatch carefully and check alignment and latch operation before completing the installation.
Is this one hinge or a pair?
The standard package supplies two assembled rear hatch hinges.
What are the hinges made from?
The hinges are made in the USA from 7075 billet aluminum with a black anodized finish. Each assembly includes new stainless steel hardware, bushings and pins.
Can these help with a hatch that sits too far rearward?
They replace bent or worn hinges that can contribute to rearward sag and poor hatch alignment. Inspect the hinge mounts, glass and surrounding components to confirm the cause before replacement.
Are the matching billet hatch bolts part of every order?
The four-piece billet bolt set is an optional selection. Choose the CBW-075B add-on when ordering if you want that upgrade with the hinge pair.
What is the key installation precaution?
Support the glass with a helper and protect the painted surfaces. Excess tightening pressure at the glass-to-hinge bolts can break the glass. Read the PDF and confirm the procedure for each mounting point before tightening.
