Torx-Style Console and Dash Screws

Use the correct-size driver and make sure it is fully seated before turning a Torx screw. Incorrect tools can damage the screw head or surrounding interior trim.

Installation Information
Before disassembling the interior:
- Photograph each trim panel and screw location
- Keep the original screws organized by location
- Compare each replacement screw with the original
- Confirm thread diameter, length and head style
- Test the screw by hand before tightening
- Replace damaged or missing U-nuts as required
- Inspect plastic attachment points for cracks
- Align trim panels before installing screws
- Start every screw by hand
- Tighten only until the panel is secure
Do not force a screw that does not start easily. A screw that is too long, too large or incorrectly threaded can damage the trim panel, body attachment point, wiring or components behind the panel.
Aged interior plastic can crack when screws are overtightened. Installation with hand tools is recommended.
