Installed on a '98 Camaro. Overall good quality, but a few things to note. The color is slightly darker gray than my OEM plate. The OEM boot retainer ring is plastic, easily allowing removal of the boot from plate, but sometimes the ring cracks. Because of the cracking, I've used a metal boot ring with great success for years. My metal boot ring mostly fits this plate and I'll be using the metal ring, along with the correct color (gray) boot for my model year. The ash tray door spring is also too strong, loud snapping sound during use, swapped it for the OEM spring. The ash tray door hinges are 4mm too far away from the mounts on the shift plate, causing the door to pop off the spring-side hinge during use. Some mild heat and pressure seems to slightly bend one of the hinge arms on the plate seems to have resolved that issue. The ashtray light shield did not fit over my OEM size bulb, re-used my old light shield. It was a PITA to extract the front storage bin from the OEM plate due to the two metal clips. Re-used my old bin with the clips left installed instead of moving the clips to the new bin.
Perfect reproduction of the OEM piece. Fits just like stock and since it is new it sits very firmly on top of the console whereas a used OEM one may feel flimsy from age. My only tip is that you replace the ashtray spring with an OEM one. The spring it comes with is too strong and will stress the plastic.
Great product the shift plate feels and looks like OEM. The packaging was excellent. The shift plate was very well protected. I would recommend this to someone in a heart beat.
