LS2 Overview The GM LS2 6.0L V8 brings Generation IV small-block engineering to a compact pushrod layout. Its aluminum block and cylinder heads, electronic port fuel injection, and electronic throttle control provide a capable foundation for street driving and performance upgrades. In the referenced GTO and Corvette applications, factory output is 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, combining strong acceleration with useful everyday response.

Match the controller, wiring harness, crank / cam sensor configuration, electronic throttle pedal, and calibration to the actual LS2 donor and intended transmission. Verify fuel-system requirements, engine mounts, oil-pan and steering clearance, accessory placement, exhaust routing, and cooling. Confirm transmission mounting, tunnel clearance, driveshaft connection, and clutch or torque-converter requirements. Corvette donors use a rear transaxle layout; plan any transaxle, torque-tube, or conventional-transmission conversion around your intended configuration.

What is supplied with the engine-only package?

The package contains the LS2 engine and the components specifically listed in This Product Includes. Review the controller, throttle pedal, accessories, starter, and sensors recorded for this stock number.

Can I use this LS2 in an older F-body Camaro, Firebird, or Trans Am?

An LS2 can be used in a properly planned conversion. Match the mounting, oil pan, fuel system, engine controls, electronic throttle, cooling, exhaust, and drivetrain to your vehicle. Contact our sales team about the components available for your specific build.

Is the original GM wiring harness supplied, and can I order a new harness?

The original GM wiring harness is not included under this package policy. Ask our sales team about available new harness options matched to the engine, controller, and intended transmission. Additional charges apply.
