UMI Performance 1970-1981 GM F-Body A/C and Fan Delete Panel
HAWKS MOTORSPORTS offers our clients the UMI’s A/C delete panel for the 2nd Generation F-Body is an excellent way to cover the hole left in the firewall after removing the A/C and heat outer engine bay suitcase.
This engine bay firewall HVAC delete plate is designed specifically for air-conditioned cars.
(Not does not interchange on factory NON-A/C cars as the outer box is a different shape and measurement specs)
Note: This unit covers the entire outer suitcase area and eliminates the outer fire wall mounted fan completely.
This should be used on cars only used for drag race / pro street / pro touring / autocross use. This is a great way to clean your firewall up making the passenger side of the firewall surface flat and clean. If you want to show off that motor and have a clean smooth look when you open your hood this is the way to go!

Tools needed: Basic full mechanic set.
The outer AC fan box requires the removal of the pasenger side fender well. Easiest with fender and hood off. Note some of the outer ac box to inner cabin mounted heater core box, unbolt from the cabin side. Tip: Since removing the box completely it is suggested to grind these 2 lower mounted bolts for ease of removal.
