Conversion Type: This kit is designed specifically for conversion from 3-speed or 4-speed manual transmissions. Automatic-to-manual conversions require additional components including clutch, flywheel, pedals, hydraulic clutch system, and related hardware.
Designed for 1964-1966 Mopar A-Body applications including Dodge Dart, Plymouth Valiant, and Plymouth Barracuda, the TREMEC TKX 5-Speed PerfectFit™ kit provides classic Mopar owners with modern five-speed overdrive capability while improving performance, comfort, and drivability.
The compact TREMEC TKX transmission is engineered for high-performance street applications with a 600 lb-ft torque capacity and the ability to handle shifts up to 7,500 RPM. The rounded transmission case design helps reduce or eliminate tunnel modifications in many applications while maintaining excellent strength and reliability.

The PerfectFit™ TKX kit includes the components needed for installation including the TREMEC TKX 5-Speed overdrive transmission, pilot bearing, installation hardware, isolator mount, reverse light connector, speedometer connection, tunnel hump, sheet metal, template, crossmember, driveshaft and slip yoke, and detailed installation instructions.
This kit is engineered to provide a modern driving experience while retaining the classic character of Mopar A-Body vehicles. Improved gearing allows for lower cruising RPM, reduced engine strain, and a more enjoyable highway driving experience.
