Designed for 1964-1967 GM A-Body applications, this SST A41 4L60E Automatic 4-Speed Conversion Kit fits Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, and Oldsmobile A-Body platforms including Chevelle, Tempest, GTO, El Camino, LeMans, Skylark, 442, Cutlass, Beaumont, and Special models.
The A41 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission provides modern overdrive performance with a 3.06, 1.63, 1.00, and 0.70 gear ratio spread. Available in three performance stages, the A41 can be configured for applications producing up to 450, 550, or 650 lb-ft of torque.
This conversion kit provides improved acceleration, lower cruising RPM, reduced engine wear, cooler operating temperatures, and improved highway comfort compared to older automatic transmissions. The A41 is an excellent upgrade for replacing older transmissions such as the TH350, TH400, Powerglide, 700R4, and other outdated automatic configurations.
Each PerfectFit™ Kit includes the required components for installation, including the A41 transmission assembly, COMPUSHIFT Sport controller, OEM-style dipstick and tube, electronically controlled lockup torque converter, throttle position sensor, braided steel cooler lines, wiring harness, inspection cover, reverse light wiring, crossmember perch, vibration isolating mount, and installation hardware.
The COMPUSHIFT Sport controller allows complete adjustment of shift strategy, shift feel, shift speeds, torque converter lockup control, and speedometer calibration. Bluetooth connectivity allows programming through compatible smartphones, tablets, PCs, and Macs without complicated wiring modifications.
