Designed specifically for non-console and bench-seat equipped vehicles, this PerfectFit™ conversion kit modernizes your classic Ford or Mercury with the strength, reliability, and overdrive performance of the TREMEC TKX 5-speed transmission.

The TREMEC TKX is the newest compact 5-speed manual transmission from TREMEC, engineered to deliver exceptional street performance while supporting up to 600 lb-ft of torque. Its compact case design improves installation clearance while allowing smooth shifting at engine speeds up to 7,500 RPM. The overdrive fifth gear reduces engine RPM for quieter cruising, improved fuel economy, and a more enjoyable driving experience.
This PerfectFit™ conversion package includes the major installation components needed to install a TKX into applicable 1966-1971 Ford Torino, Fairlane, Ranchero, Mercury Comet, Cyclone, and Montego models equipped without a console. Optional automatic-to-manual conversion components are available for vehicles originally equipped with an automatic transmission.
