The TREMEC TKX 5-Speed is one of the most compact modern manual transmissions available and is engineered to provide classic Chevrolet and GMC C-Series trucks with modern performance and reliability. The compact rounded case design helps reduce or eliminate transmission tunnel modifications while maintaining proper driveline alignment.
Designed for street-driven and performance applications, the TREMEC TKX can handle up to 600 lb-ft of torque and supports shifts up to 7,500 RPM. The overdrive fifth gear provides reduced engine RPM during highway cruising, helping improve fuel economy, reduce engine wear, and create a more comfortable driving experience.
This conversion kit is designed for 1973-1987 Chevrolet and GMC C-Series pickup trucks including C10, C20, C30, and GMC C-Series applications. It is an ideal upgrade for restoration projects, LS engine swaps, performance builds, and owners looking to replace outdated factory transmissions with modern manual transmission technology.
The conversion kit includes the TREMEC TKX 5-Speed overdrive transmission components, bellhousing, McLeod clutch and flywheel, hydraulic clutch conversion components, crossmember, driveshaft and slip yoke assembly, speedometer connection components, reverse light connector, installation hardware, and detailed installation instructions.
