Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 5969507 OER 1978-1981 Chevrolet Camaro Fuel Door with Hinge Standard and Z28 for restoring the rear fuel filler area on late second generation Camaro models. This reproduction fuel door is designed for 1978-1981 Camaro Standard and Z28 applications and includes the hinge assembly for a more complete rear body trim replacement.
This fuel door features the correct mounting holes for the factory-style fuel filler door emblem and is built for the Standard and Z28 rear tail panel layout. Original fuel doors commonly become bent, rusted, loose, damaged at the hinge, painted over, misaligned, or missing after decades of service, repaint work, and rear body repairs.
Because the fuel door sits in the center of the rear tail panel, poor fitment or damaged trim is easy to notice. Replacing this assembly helps restore proper fuel door operation, cleaner rear panel alignment, and a sharper factory-style appearance.
