This kit is designed for Fox Body vehicles originally equipped with an automatic transmission that are being converted to a modern manual transmission setup.

The TREMEC TKX 5-speed overdrive transmission provides improved performance, stronger drivetrain capability, and modern highway comfort for classic Fox Body builds. With a compact rounded case design, 600 lb-ft torque capacity, and support for high RPM shifting, the TKX is engineered for street-driven performance vehicles, restoration projects, and modified applications.

Automatic-to-Manual Conversion Notice: This kit is specifically intended for vehicles requiring an automatic transmission to manual transmission conversion. Additional components required for manual conversion are included based on the selected configuration, including clutch system components, hydraulic clutch components, pedals, and related installation hardware. The TKX provides improved shift quality, reduced engine RPM during highway cruising, and reduced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). The transmission is compatible with mechanical or hydraulic clutch actuation systems depending on installation configuration.
