Product Description:
Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1979–1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Rear Tail Panel 153159.
This rear tail panel is designed to replace the factory rear body panel starting just below the trunk weather seal channel, and running down to the beginning of the bottom rear valance panel. The tail lights and rear bumper mount through this panel and into the inner body structure on 1979–1981 Firebird and Trans Am models. This area is commonly affected by rust, collision damage, or previous poor repairs, making replacement essential for restoring both appearance and structural alignment.
Manufactured to replicate original factory contours, this panel restores the correct rear-end profile while properly aligning with the tail light assemblies, rear bumper, and quarter panels. It serves as a critical structural and cosmetic component in any proper restoration or repair.

An improperly fitted or rusted panel can throw off the entire rear alignment. Replacing it with a correctly formed panel ensures everything lines up as it should.
