It is a good option when matching custom interior material, replacing a damaged original board, restoring a car with existing trim materials, or building an interior where a pre-covered color option is not preferred.
The ABS plastic construction provides a stronger replacement foundation than many aging original-style headliner boards. Original third generation F-Body headliners often sag, crack, warp, crumble, stain, or deteriorate from age, heat, moisture, and prior interior work. Replacing the board gives the upholstery shop a cleaner structure to work from instead of trying to rescue a roof liner that has already surrendered.
