Product Description:

Hawks Motorsports is proud to offer our clients this : 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, Formula and Trans Am Red Rear Sail Panel Pair from Acme Auto Headlining, part #QP54C-1872.

Restore the rear interior of your third-generation GM F-body with a new driver- and passenger-side pair of rear sail panels covered in Acme 1872 Red foam-backed cloth.

These interior panels are commonly called rear sail panels, quarter/sail panels, rear speaker covers, rear speaker panels or earmuff boards. They install along the upper rear quarter area beside the rear seating and hatch compartment, creating the finished upholstered surface surrounding the rear speaker locations.

Plastic with Foam-Backed Cloth

Each panel features plastic construction covered in Acme 1872 Red foam-backed headliner cloth.

The plastic backing provides a formed replacement for original panels that may have become warped, cracked, creased, stained, broken or damaged during previous interior or audio-system work.

The foam-backed cloth provides a finished upholstered surface designed to coordinate with compatible red headliner and sun-visor material used throughout the vehicle’s interior.

Acme 1872 Red

This product is manufactured specifically in Acme material color 1872 Red.

The individual SKU for this color is QP54C-1872. It is not a selectable multi-color product and will arrive covered in Red 1872 foam-backed cloth.

Because original interior upholstery can fade, darken, stain or change color after decades of heat and ultraviolet exposure, new Red 1872 material may appear different from aged original interior components.

Using the same Acme 1872 material code for related headliner and sun-visor products helps provide a more coordinated interior appearance.

Complete Driver- and Passenger-Side Pair

QP54C-1872 includes:

  • One driver-side rear sail panel
  • One passenger-side rear sail panel
  • Plastic panel construction
  • Red 1872 foam-backed cloth covering
  • Preformed rear speaker-area openings
  • Components for one complete vehicle

Both panels are supplied pre-covered and ready for installation in compatible applications.

Restores the Rear Interior

These replacement panels provide an alternative to reusing original panels that may have:

  • Warped or misshapen backing
  • Cracked panel edges
  • Broken mounting areas
  • Torn speaker openings
  • Faded red upholstery
  • Stained or discolored cloth
  • Deteriorated foam backing
  • Sagging or separated material
  • Water or moisture damage
  • Sun and heat damage
  • Creases caused by improper removal
  • Damage from aftermarket speaker installation

Replacing both panels together helps provide consistent construction and a uniform Red 1872 appearance across the rear interior.
