This new reproduction dual electric cooling fan kit converts a compatible 1987-1992 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird from a single-fan arrangement to the factory-style dual-fan configuration used on selected IROC-Z, Z28 and GTA models. The coordinated shrouds, brackets, blades and motors provide an application-specific mechanical package for a cleaner conversion.

- Disconnect the battery and allow the cooling system to become completely cold.
- Document the original fan, shroud and wiring arrangement before disassembly.
- Remove the single-fan components while protecting the radiator fins.
- Assemble the upper and lower shrouds, motor brackets, motors and blades in the specified orientation.
- Install the selected wiring/control arrangement with circuit protection appropriate to the fan load.
- Verify blade clearance, airflow direction and operation of both fans through a complete heat cycle.

Is a stand-alone harness available?

Why verify airflow direction?
A fan wired or assembled to move air the wrong way can reduce radiator performance rather than improve it.
Does this kit alone diagnose an overheating car?
No. Radiator condition, coolant flow, air-dam integrity, thermostat operation and trapped air must also be evaluated.
