This adhesive-backed Camaro Text air-lid decal is designed for the upper air-box lid on compatible 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 / SS models.
It replaces a faded, damaged or missing graphic and gives the LS1 engine compartment a clean OEM-plus appearance without replacing the complete air lid.

Artwork-Specific Listing
This SKU supplies the Camaro Text design. Select by the desired engine-bay presentation rather than assuming all air-lid decals carry the same graphic.
Surface Preparation
Adhesion depends on a smooth, clean and dry lid. Old adhesive, oil and silicone-based engine dressing must be removed before application.
OEM-Plus Engine-Bay Detail
The decal is intended as a cosmetic finishing detail for the upper lid; it does not change intake function or certify the vehicle as a factory special-edition model.
- Allow the engine compartment to cool and document the original decal position.
- Remove loose decal material and adhesive residue without gouging the air lid.
- Clean away oil, silicone dressing, wax and dust with a surface-safe cleaner.
- Allow the surface to dry completely and test-position the decal with its backing attached.
- Confirm the artwork orientation and center the decal before exposing the adhesive.
- Apply gradually from one edge while using light, even pressure to limit trapped air.
- Press the full surface and perimeter, then allow the adhesive to establish before cleaning the area.

Is the air lid included?
No. The decal is sold separately from the intake components.
Where does it install?
It applies to the upper air-box lid in the engine compartment.
Can it be applied over the old decal?
Application over loose, raised or deteriorated material is not recommended.
