This new reproduction automatic upper-console shifter plate is designed for compatible 2000-2002 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models with the factory automatic-transmission center-console arrangement.
Molded in the correct Ebony Black finish, the complete plate restores the factory-style shifter surround, integrated ashtray lid and front storage cubby commonly affected by scratches, fading, broken attachment points or missing pieces.

This is an automatic-transmission console component. It is not the correct plate for a factory manual or six-speed conversion, and color should be selected according to the vehicle interior.

Correct Ebony Finish
Ebony Black matches the later 2000-2002 F-Body interior color. The plate may physically interchange with 1997-1999 consoles, but those cars used Graphite Gray.
Original-Style Construction
Injection-molded plastic and a factory-style surface texture provide an original-looking replacement for a worn or broken GM console plate.
- Place the transmission in a safe position, set the parking brake and disconnect the battery.
- Document the original console layout and the routing of the cigarette-lighter wiring.
- Remove the existing upper plate using the factory service procedure and avoid prying against adjacent trim.
- Disconnect and retain the original cigarette-lighter assembly and any application-specific reusable pieces.
- Compare the replacement plate, openings, tabs, finish and attachment points with the original.
- Transfer the compatible lighter assembly without stressing its wiring or bezel.
- Test-position the plate and confirm clearance around the shifter through every selected gear position.
- Secure the plate evenly, reconnect the battery and verify shifter, indicator and lighter operation.
