This Ebony Black carpet mat package is designed for 2000-2002 Pontiac SLP Firehawk coupes. It includes a pair of front floor mats and a matching rear hatch deck mat featuring embroidered 2000-2002-style Firehawk identification.
ACC produced the original floor and rear deck mats supplied through SLP during the late 1990s and early 2000s. These newly manufactured reproductions recreate the general fit and appearance of those period Firehawk interior accessories using automotive carpet materials available today.
The three-piece package includes:
- One driver-side front floor mat
- One passenger-side front floor mat
- One fitted rear hatch deck mat
- Ebony Black automotive carpet
- Embroidered Firehawk identification
- Finished outer edges
- Carpet-gripping backing
Rear passenger-compartment floor mats are not included.
Firehawk Embroidery
The front floor mats and rear deck mat feature embroidered Firehawk identification styled for the 2000-2002 Firehawk interior.
This embroidery distinguishes the package from standard Firebird, Formula, Trans Am and logo-free replacement mats.
The Firehawk branding creates a custom appearance when the package is installed in a Firebird, Formula or Trans Am that was not converted by SLP as a Firehawk.
Ebony Black Color
Ebony Black is the color application associated with the 2000-2002 version of these Firehawk mats.
This reproduction Ebony is a lighter black with a dark charcoal-gray appearance. The difference between Ebony Black and the earlier Graphite Dark Gray color can be subtle, so compare the available reference photographs before ordering.
For a 1993-1999-style Firehawk interior, consider the Graphite Dark Gray package using part numbers 44001-FIREHAWK and 10882-GRAPHITE.
Carpet color and texture may differ slightly from aged original material because currently available automotive carpet is used. Fading, lighting, cleaning products, previous carpet replacement and screen settings can also affect color comparisons.
Front Floor-Mat Coverage
The two front mats are shaped for the driver-side and passenger-side footwells of a fourth-generation Pontiac Firebird coupe.
They are finished replacement mats and should not require trimming. Remove the existing mats before installation and do not stack them over other floor mats.
Rear Hatch Deck Coverage
The rear mat installs on the raised carpeted shelf behind the folding rear seat. This area may also be called the rear deck, hatch deck, package shelf or trophy-mat area.
The deck mat does not cover the recessed storage compartment beneath the rear hatch floor or the entire cargo area.

Remove the existing front floor mats before installing the reproduction pair.
After positioning the mats:
- Confirm that the driver-side mat lies flat
- Check accelerator, brake and clutch-pedal clearance
- Make sure the mat cannot move beneath the pedals
- Confirm that the carpet-gripping backing engages the vehicle carpet
- Position the passenger-side mat fully within the footwell
- Center the rear deck mat on the raised shelf behind the rear seat
- Confirm that the rear mat lies flat before closing the hatch
- Recheck the mat positions periodically
These are finished application-specific mats and should not require trimming.
