Product Description:

Hawks Motorsports is pleased to offer our clients this 2009-2015 Cadillac CTS-V and 2012-2015 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 LSA Supercharger Pulley from Metco Motorsports. Designed for the factory LSA supercharger, this precision-made overdrive pulley replaces the original 2.95-inch steel supercharger pulley and is available in 2.45-inch or 2.75-inch diameters. Metco's three-piece design uses a high-grade steel hub with an interchangeable aluminum pulley ring and front cover.

Want to wake that LSA up? This is the upper pulley that gets the blower working harder. The 2.45" option is the aggressive choice, while the 2.75" gives you a more moderate step up in boost. Either way, you're getting a serious piece of hardware instead of some questionable backyard pulley swap. Get the snout apart, get the right belt on it, get the calibration sorted, and let that LSA eat.

Metco machines the pulley components in-house in Anderson, South Carolina. The hub uses an interference fit on the supercharger shaft, eliminating the need for pinning or drilling, while the raised rear flange is designed to maintain proper pulley alignment. The pulley cover is also machined to accept the original plastic pulley cap for a stock-appearing installation.

IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTES AND EXCLUSIONS

  • This is an upper supercharger pulley, not a crank pulley, idler pulley or tensioner pulley.
  • Select the correct pulley diameter when ordering: 2.45" or 2.75".
  • The original LSA supercharger pulley is 2.95".
  • The 2.45" pulley requires a shorter supercharger belt. Metco recommends the Gates/NAPA 080653 premium Greenstripe belt, approximately 0.7" shorter than stock.
  • Metco states that proper PCM calibration is required when installing its LSA supercharger pulley.
  • Metco states the 2.45" pulley can produce approximately 4-5 additional pounds of boost compared with the stock pulley, depending on application and operating conditions.
  • The 2.75" version provides a smaller increase in boost than the 2.45" version; do not represent the two sizes as producing the same boost increase.
  • The upper portion of the supercharger must be removed and the blower snout separated from the case for proper pulley installation.
  • A dedicated pulley removal tool can be used to remove the original pulley, but Metco specifies that a press is required to install the replacement pulley.
  • Metco recommends replacing the original spring-loaded supercharger isolator with its solid isolator when installing an overdrive pulley.
  • Important revision note: Metco states that its LSA pulley was revised in September 2024 and that current pulley rings and hubs are not compatible with versions manufactured before that revision. Do not mix pre-September-2024 and post-September-2024 Metco pulley/hub components.
  • The optional LSA0001 solid isolator is a separate component unless selected with the pulley.
  • The original plastic pulley cap is not included with the pulley. Metco machines the cover to accept the original cap.

INSTALLATION NOTES

  • Remove the upper portion of the supercharger and separate the blower snout from the case as required by Metco's installation procedure.
  • Use an appropriate pulley removal tool for the factory pulley.
  • A press is required to install the Metco replacement pulley.
  • Do not attempt to install the interference-fit hub by pinning or drilling the supercharger shaft.
  • Verify pulley alignment before final assembly.
  • Install the correct belt for the selected pulley diameter.
  • The 2.45" pulley requires a shorter supercharger belt.
  • PCM calibration is required after the pulley change.
  • Inspect the existing supercharger coupler/isolator while the snout is apart.
  • Metco recommends its LSA0001 solid isolator when upgrading to an overdrive supercharger pulley.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What vehicles does this Metco LSA pulley fit?
It is designed for 2009-2015 Cadillac CTS-V and 2012-2015 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 LSA applications.

What pulley sizes are available?
Metco offers the LSA pulley in 2.45-inch and 2.75-inch sizes.

What size is the factory LSA supercharger pulley?
Metco identifies the original pulley as 2.95 inches.

What is the difference between the 2.45" and 2.75" pulleys?
The 2.45" pulley is the smaller, more aggressive overdrive option and is listed by Metco at approximately 4-5 additional pounds of boost. The 2.75" pulley provides a smaller increase in boost.

Does the 2.45" pulley require a different belt?
Yes. Metco specifies a shorter supercharger belt for the 2.45" pulley and recommends the Gates/NAPA 080653 premium Greenstripe belt.

Does the pulley require tuning?
Yes. Metco states that proper PCM calibration is required after installing the LSA supercharger pulley.

Does the pulley require machining or drilling?
Metco's hub is designed for an interference fit on the supercharger shaft and does not require pinning or drilling.
