Hawks Motorsports is pleased to offer our clients the Chevy LS1/LS6 Up to 2003 Cylinder Head Stud Kit, Hex Head ARP, Part Number 234-4110. This ARP Pro-Series head stud kit is designed for Chevrolet Gen III LS applications using the early cylinder-head fastening configuration. The kit contains four short studs and sixteen long studs, along with hex nuts and hardened washers. ARP identifies 234-4110 for Gen III LS Series small-block applications from 2003 and earlier.

If you're building an early LS and already have the heads off, this is exactly the kind of hardware upgrade that makes sense to handle while you're in there. The 234-4110 uses ARP's 8740 chromoly studs with a hex-head design and the correct mix of short and long studs for the early LS configuration. INSTALLATION NOTES

  • Clean the block threads thoroughly and chase them if necessary.
  • ARP specifies thread chasers 912-0011 (M11 × 2.0) and 912-0001 (M8 × 1.25) where required.

  • Install the studs hand tight; the internal hex is intended to aid installation/removal and not to torque the stud into the block.
  • Keep the cylinder-head and washer mating surfaces clean and dry.
