Product Description:
Hawks Motorsports is pleased to offer our clients the following.
This Ebony Black rear hatch deck mat is designed for 1993-2002 Chevrolet Camaro coupes and features embroidered Camaro SS identification.
ACC produced the original floor mats and rear deck mats supplied through SLP during the late 1990s and early 2000s. This newly manufactured reproduction recreates the general fit and appearance of those period SLP-style interior accessories using automotive carpet materials available today.
The package includes:
- One fitted rear hatch deck mat
- Ebony Black automotive carpet
- Embroidered Camaro SS identification
- Finished outer edges
- Carpet-gripping backing
Front and rear passenger-compartment floor mats are not included.
Rear Hatch Deck Coverage
The mat covers the raised carpeted shelf behind the folding rear seat in a fourth-generation Camaro coupe. This area is commonly called the rear deck, hatch deck, package shelf or trophy-mat area.
The mat does not cover the recessed rear storage compartment beneath the hatch floor.
Camaro SS Embroidery
The rear deck mat features embroidered Camaro SS identification that recreates the recognizable SLP-style appearance used in fourth-generation Camaro SS interiors.
The embroidery represents a factory-style appearance primarily for 1996-2002 Camaro SS coupes. Installation in a Base, RS, Z28 or 1993-1995 Camaro creates a custom Camaro SS appearance.
This standard Camaro SS embroidery is different from the model-specific graphics used on the 2002 Camaro SS 35th Anniversary Edition trophy mat.
Ebony Black Color
Ebony Black is associated primarily with 2000-2002 fourth-generation Camaro interiors.
The mat physically fits applicable 1993-1999 Camaro coupes, but those earlier vehicles commonly used Graphite Dark Gray, Neutral Tan or another year-specific carpet color. Ebony Black should be considered a custom-color application when installed in an earlier interior.
Hawks describes the current Ebony carpet as a light black or very dark gray rather than a deep jet black. Compare the available color reference with the vehicle’s existing carpet before ordering.
Automotive carpet color and texture may differ slightly from aged original materials because this reproduction is manufactured using carpet available today. Lighting, fading, cleaning products, previous carpet replacement and screen settings can also affect color comparisons.
