Built around a BluePrint high-strength cast iron 4-bolt main block, the PSM5400CTC1 features a 4.500-inch bore, 4.250-inch forged steel crankshaft, 6.385-inch forged H-beam connecting rods, and 13cc forged dome pistons producing a 10.0:1 compression ratio. BluePrint PS8013 aluminum cylinder heads with raised exhaust ports provide exceptional airflow, while the hydraulic roller camshaft delivers outstanding mid-range torque and top-end horsepower for marine performance.

The base dressed package includes an 850 CFM carburetor, Edelbrock single-plane aluminum intake manifold, marine distributor, harmonic balancer, timing cover, valve covers, oil pan, spark plugs, MSD spark plug wires, and dipstick installed. BluePrint recommends using a closed cooling system for saltwater applications and a USCG-approved flame arrestor where required.
