Product Description:

Hawks Motorsports is proud to offer our clients this : 1967-1974 Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, Formula, and Trans Am Front Lower Control Arm Grade 8 Mounting Hardware Kit from UMI Performance.

UMI Performance #4001 provides new high-strength fasteners for attaching compatible front lower control arms to the chassis of applicable 1967-1974 GM F-body vehicles.

The kit includes four 1/2-inch SAE Grade 8 bolts, four flat washers, and four nylon-insert locking nuts. All components feature a zinc coating that helps protect the hardware from corrosion while providing a clean, finished appearance.

UMI-4001 can be used when installing compatible UMI Performance lower A-arms, factory-style lower control arms, or lower control arms from other manufacturers that use the same 1/2-inch mounting dimensions.

This kit supplies the hardware needed for both the driver- and passenger-side lower control-arm pivot locations. It is suitable for restorations, suspension rebuilds, performance-street vehicles, Pro-Touring builds, autocross cars, and other applications where the original fasteners are worn, corroded, damaged, or missing.

Complete Kit Contents

  • Four 1/2-inch SAE Grade 8 bolts
  • Four flat washers
  • Four nylon-insert locking nuts
  • Zinc-coated finish on all supplied components
  • Hardware for both front lower control arms

Critical 1975-1981 Fitment Information

UMI-4001 is not the correct lower control-arm hardware kit for 1975-1981 Camaro, Firebird, Formula, or Trans Am models.

UMI catalogs #1003 for 1975-1981 F-body front lower control arms. UMI #1003 uses metric M14 bolts rather than the 1/2-inch Grade 8 fasteners supplied with UMI-4001.

Verify the vehicle’s model year and original mounting-hole dimensions before installation.

Additional GM Applications

UMI also catalogs #4001 for numerous 1964-1977 GM A-body vehicles. Depending on the chassis and control-arm design, the kit may be used with compatible front lower A-arms or rear lower control arms.

This listing is for the UMI-4001 fastener kit only.
