This basic conversion kit upgrades classic Mustang drivetrains with a modern TREMEC Magnum 6-speed manual transmission designed for improved highway cruising, reduced RPM, and increased drivetrain performance.

Builder Kit Notice: This is a basic conversion kit designed for builders who can fabricate or modify their own crossmember and transmission tunnel components as needed. Additional components may be required depending on vehicle configuration.
The TREMEC Magnum 6-speed provides six forward gears with double overdrive capability, allowing reduced engine RPM during highway driving while maintaining strong acceleration performance. With a torque capacity of up to 700 lb-ft, this transmission is suited for high-performance classic Mustang builds.
Available gear ratio configurations include wide ratio and close ratio options. Wide ratio gearing includes 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63 gears. Close ratio gearing includes 2.97, 2.10, 1.46, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63 gears.
The basic kit includes the TREMEC Magnum 6-speed double overdrive transmission, slip yoke, speedometer connection options, reverse light connector, heavy-duty pilot bearing, isolator mount, installation hardware, and detailed installation instructions.
Optional components are available for complete conversions, including flywheel, clutch kit, bellhousing, shifter handle, shifter knob, throwout bearing, and front shift kit options for applications requiring additional bench seat clearance.
Driveshafts are not included with every order and may be purchased separately depending on application requirements. Verify engine, clutch, transmission tunnel, and drivetrain configuration before ordering.
