Designed for 1964-1967 GM A-Body applications, this TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed PerfectFit™ Kit provides modern manual transmission performance for Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac Tempest, Pontiac GTO, Chevrolet El Camino, Pontiac LeMans, Buick Skylark, Oldsmobile 442, Oldsmobile Cutlass, Beaumont, and Special models.
The TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed features a double overdrive design with 700 lb-ft torque capacity, making it an ideal upgrade for high-performance street builds. The Magnum provides improved acceleration, reduced cruising RPM, improved fuel economy, reduced engine wear, cooler operating temperatures, and reduced noise, vibration, and harshness.
The PerfectFit™ design provides a properly positioned shifter location while maintaining excellent interior fitment. The kit includes components required for a reliable conversion from a manual transmission setup and supports modern hydraulic clutch operation.
The TREMEC Magnum is available with wide and close ratio gear sets. Gear ratios include 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.80, 0.63 or 2.97, 2.10, 1.46, 1.00, 0.80, 0.63.
