This PerfectFit™ transmission upgrade replaces an existing manual transmission with modern TREMEC Magnum 6-speed overdrive performance designed for classic GM B-O-P A-Body vehicles.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION UPGRADE KIT
This kit is designed for vehicles already equipped with a manual transmission. It provides the components required to upgrade to a TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed double overdrive transmission while maintaining proper driveline geometry and factory-style fitment.

Designed for 1968-1972 GM B-O-P A-Body applications, this TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed PerfectFit™ Kit fits Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac platforms including Cutlass, Skylark, GS, 442, GTO, Tempest, and LeMans models.
The TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed delivers modern performance with a 700 lb-ft torque capacity, double overdrive gearing, improved highway cruising, reduced engine RPM, and enhanced drivability. This upgrade provides reduced engine wear, cooler operating temperatures, improved fuel economy, and reduced noise, vibration, and harshness.
The TREMEC Magnum is available with two gear ratio options. Standard wide ratio gearing includes 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63. Alternate gearing includes 2.97, 2.10, 1.46, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63.
The PerfectFit™ kit includes the components required for a manual transmission upgrade including the TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed double overdrive transmission, crossmember, driveshaft and slip yoke, speedometer connection, reverse light connector, pilot bearing, isolator mount, installation hardware, tunnel cutting template, and detailed instructions with lifetime technical support.
