This PerfectFit™ conversion kit upgrades classic Mopar B-Body vehicles with modern five-speed overdrive performance, improved drivability, and increased highway efficiency.
This TREMEC TKX 5-Speed kit is designed for automatic transmission to manual transmission conversions on 1966-1970 Mopar B-Body applications including Belvedere, Charger, Coronet, GTX, Road Runner, Satellite, Super Bee, and Super Bird models. The kit includes the required components to convert from an automatic transmission setup to a modern manual overdrive drivetrain.
The TREMEC TKX features a compact billet aluminum shifter mechanism, CNC-machined case customization, and a factory-style shifter position for improved interior fitment. With the ability to handle up to 600 lb-ft of torque and 7,500 RPM shifts, the TKX provides an ideal balance of performance and street manners.
This conversion provides lower cruising RPM, reduced engine wear, improved fuel economy, cooler operating temperatures, and reduced NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) compared to original automatic transmissions.
