Designed for 1967-1976 Mopar A-Body vehicles including Dodge Dart, Plymouth Valiant, Plymouth Barracuda, Plymouth Duster, and Plymouth Scamp applications, this TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed kit provides a modern overdrive solution while allowing you to retain the factory torsion bar suspension system.
The TREMEC T56 Magnum 6-Speed double overdrive transmission provides exceptional strength with a 700 lb-ft torque capacity rating. Available gear ratios include 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63 or 2.97, 2.10, 1.46, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63 depending on configuration.
This PerfectFit™ kit is engineered to deliver lower cruising RPM, improved fuel economy, reduced engine wear, cooler operating temperatures, and reduced NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). The result is a more comfortable and enjoyable driving experience for classic Mopar enthusiasts.
The included components are designed specifically for Mopar A-Body conversions and include the TREMEC Magnum transmission, bellhousing, crossmember, driveshaft and slip yoke, speedometer connection, reverse light connector, pilot bearing, isolator mount, installation hardware, and detailed instructions.
The kit maintains factory-style driveline geometry while providing modern six-speed performance. Optional components are available for clutch, hydraulic conversion, shifter, and additional drivetrain upgrades depending on vehicle configuration.
