This PerfectFit™ transmission upgrade replaces an existing manual transmission with a modern TREMEC Magnum 6-speed double overdrive transmission designed for classic Chevrolet A-Body vehicles.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION UPGRADE KIT
This kit is designed for vehicles already equipped with a manual transmission. It provides the components needed to upgrade to a TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed while maintaining proper fitment, driveline angles, and factory-style appearance.

Designed for 1968-1972 Chevrolet A-Body applications, this TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed PerfectFit™ Kit fits Chevrolet Chevelle, El Camino, and Monte Carlo models.
The TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed provides modern performance with a 700 lb-ft torque capacity, double overdrive gearing, and improved highway drivability. The upgrade reduces cruising RPM, decreases engine wear, improves fuel economy, lowers operating temperatures, and reduces noise, vibration, and harshness.
The TREMEC Magnum is available with multiple gear ratio options. Standard wide ratio gearing includes 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63. Alternate gearing includes 2.97, 2.10, 1.46, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63.
The PerfectFit™ kit includes the required components for a manual transmission upgrade including the TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed double overdrive transmission, crossmember, driveshaft and slip yoke, speedometer connection, reverse light connector, tunnel cutting template, tunnel patch, body seal panel, pilot bearing, isolator mount, installation hardware, and detailed instructions with lifetime technical support.
