This PerfectFit™ transmission conversion kit upgrades classic Mopar E-Body vehicles with modern 6-speed overdrive performance, improved highway cruising, and increased drivetrain capability for street and performance applications.

Designed for 1970-1974 Mopar E-Body platforms, this TREMEC Magnum 6-Speed PerfectFit™ Kit provides modern manual transmission performance for vehicles including AAR, Barracuda, Challenger, Cuda, Gran Coupe, R/T, SE, and T/A models.
The TREMEC T56 Magnum 6-Speed features a double overdrive design with 700 lb-ft torque capacity and advanced synchronizer technology for smooth high-RPM shifting. This transmission provides improved highway cruising, reduced engine RPM, lower operating temperatures, reduced drivetrain wear, and improved overall driving comfort.
The T56 Magnum is available with wide and close ratio gear options. Gear ratios include 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63 or 2.97, 2.10, 1.46, 1.00, 0.80, and 0.63.
The PerfectFit™ kit is engineered to retain the factory torsion bar suspension system without requiring conversion to coil-over suspension. The kit includes the TREMEC T56 Magnum 6-Speed transmission, factory console-compatible shifter positioning, SFI-rated steel bellhousing, hydraulic clutch actuator kit, tunnel sheetmetal, crossmember, speedometer connection, reverse light connector, pilot bearing, isolator mount, installation hardware, and detailed instructions with lifetime technical support.
Optional components are available including driveshaft upgrades, flywheel, clutch kit, reproduction shifter handles, and additional drivetrain components to complete your specific build.
