This PerfectFit™ transmission conversion kit upgrades classic Mopar E-Body vehicles with modern 5-speed overdrive performance, improved drivability, and increased strength for street and performance applications.

Designed for 1970-1974 Mopar E-Body applications, this TREMEC TKX 5-Speed PerfectFit™ Kit provides modern manual transmission performance for AAR, Barracuda, Challenger, Cuda, Gran Coupe, R/T, SE, and T/A models.
The TREMEC TKX features a compact rounded case design, 600 lb-ft torque capacity, and the ability to handle 7,500 rpm shifts. The TKX delivers excellent street performance with reduced engine RPM, improved fuel economy, lower operating temperatures, and reduced noise, vibration, and harshness.
The TKX is available with wide ratio and close ratio gear sets. Wide ratio gearing includes 3.27, 1.98, 1.34, 1.00, and 0.72. Close ratio gearing includes 2.87, 1.89, 1.28, 1.00, and 0.68 or 0.81 overdrive options.
The PerfectFit™ kit includes the required components for installation, including the TREMEC TKX 5-Speed overdrive transmission, STX Shifters® with true offset for factory-correct shifter positioning, crossmember, speedometer connection, reverse light connector, pilot bearing, isolator mount, installation hardware, and detailed instructions with lifetime technical support.
This kit supports both existing manual transmission upgrades and automatic-to-manual conversions with optional components including flywheel, clutch kit, bellhousing, hydraulic clutch actuator components, pedals, tunnel hump, shifter components, and driveshaft upgrades.
