Product Description:
Hawks Motorsports offers our clients new replacement side window weather seal channel mounted blow out tabs. Correct in size and also appearance and made of spring steel.
Why replace these?
GM installed these so when running down the road if one person rolls the window down the opposite side does not literally blow out and away. Yes, it is a real thing at high speeds, and has to do with air pressure inside the cabin. After 40 years the rubber coating peels off and they rust out. Replacing them is pretty simple and straight forwards. Do it at home!
How hard is it?
Replacing these are easy and a must do when replacing the body hull weather seals on your 70-81 D-Body. Once the weather strip is removed these are riveted to the weather seal retainer channel, drill the old ones out and replace with rivets or flat headed screws.
