Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 5954135 5954136 OER 1974-1977 Chevrolet Camaro Tail Light Housing to Body Gasket Set Pair for restoring the rear lamp sealing surface on mid-second generation Camaro models. This matched gasket set includes both the left hand driver side and right hand passenger side tail lamp housing-to-body gaskets, helping seal the tail lamp housings against the rear body panel.
Your tail lights consist of 3 sets of gaskets or seals. This pair are the seals which slide onto the rear “frame” of the tail light housing and then when the tail light is mounted via the studs inside the trunk compartment this seal pulls tightly to the body of the car (tail panel) These seals prevent water from sitting between the tail light housing and the external sheet metal of the car.
These reproduction gaskets are manufactured from quality molded EPDM rubber and shaped to replicate the original gasket design for proper fitment. Original tail lamp housing gaskets commonly become compressed, brittle, torn, dry-rotted, distorted, or missing after decades of heat, moisture, repaint work, and rear lighting service.
