Product Description:

Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1974-1981 Camaro Firebird Trans Am Ginger Foam-Backed Perforated Vinyl Headliner Material, Material Only, Acme 74-1513P-FBH7.

This replacement headliner material is designed for recovering a structurally sound original or replacement headliner board. The Ginger color provides a warm golden-brown interior finish suitable for second-generation Camaro, Firebird, Formula and Trans Am restoration projects requiring a period-style tan or Ginger overhead interior.

The perforated vinyl face recreates the appearance commonly associated with factory-style GM headliners, while the attached foam backing provides the cushioned layer needed between the vinyl covering and the headliner board. It is an effective choice for replacing material that has become faded, torn, stained, loose or separated from its original foam backing.

This listing includes the foam-backed perforated vinyl headliner material only. The headliner board, sun visors, trim moldings, mounting hardware and installation adhesive are not included.

Fitment note: This is replacement covering material rather than a molded or pre-cut headliner board. Confirm that the existing board is reusable and verify the amount of material required for the vehicle’s roof configuration before installation.

INSTALLATION NOTES

Remove the headliner board from the vehicle before attempting to recover it. Carefully strip away the old covering, deteriorated foam and loose adhesive without damaging the board.

The board must be clean, dry and structurally sound. Repair cracks or damaged mounting areas before installing the replacement material.

Dry-fit and center the material before applying adhesive. Use a high-temperature automotive headliner adhesive compatible with foam-backed vinyl. Apply the material gradually from the center outward to reduce wrinkles, trapped air and uneven stretching.

Allow the adhesive to cure according to its instructions before trimming excess material or reinstalling the board. Professional installation is recommended when the original board is brittle, warped, cracked or previously repaired.

Actual material color may vary slightly because of screen settings, lighting and differences between new reproduction material and aged original interior components.
