- Allow the engine compartment to cool and document the original label position.
- Remove loose decal material and adhesive residue without damaging the underlying surface.
- Clean away oil, wax, silicone dressing and dust, then allow the surface to dry completely.
- Test-position the decal and verify its orientation before exposing the adhesive.
- Apply gradually from one edge with light, even pressure to reduce trapped air.
- Press the full surface and perimeter, then allow the adhesive to establish before cleaning the area.
