Hawks Motorsports offers our clients this 1987-1990 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350 Exterior Identification Decal Kit from Phoenix Graphix, part number 8790F350.
Designed specifically for third-generation Firebird Formula 350 models equipped with the 5.7-liter fuel-injected V8, this GM-authorized reproduction package restores the model identification, engine callouts and Firebird graphics used on applicable 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1990 vehicles.
The nine-piece decal package includes:
- Two large “Formula 350” door-name decals
- One small “Formula” front-bumper name
- One small “Formula” rear-bumper name
- Two “5.7 Liter F.I.” hood-scoop decals
- Two sail-panel bird decals
- One front-bumper bird decal
- Installation squeegee and instructions
Current factory-style color selections include:
- Silver Metallic
- Charcoal Metallic
Phoenix Graphix identifies the Charcoal Metallic version for applicable yellow or white vehicles. Confirm the vehicle’s original paint, lower accent color and graphics before ordering when factory-correct restoration is required. The factory trim and option label is generally located in the center console or rear cargo-storage compartment.
This package contains the Formula 350 identification and bird decals only. The premolded lower-body paint-divider stripes are sold separately. Applicable 1987–1988 vehicles use stripe kit 8688FSTP, while applicable 1989–1990 vehicles use stripe kit 8990FSTP. Vehicles originally equipped with RPO WX1 lower-accent-paint delete do not require these lower-body stripes.
The rear Pontiac name-and-bird graphic, Fuel Injection door-handle inserts, assembly-line labels and technical decals are not included. This kit is also different from the standard 8790F package, which contains “Formula” door names and 5.0 Liter F.I. engine callouts.
Professional installation is recommended because correct surface preparation, positioning and alignment are essential for proper adhesion and a factory-style finished appearance.
